Letter from the Board President

Namaste,

This is the time of year when we people get together with friends and families for all kinds of summer events. Whatever it is you are doing always know that God is in the midst of it all.

The first half of this year has been filled with many inspirational events. Thanks to you the congregation, we have had unwavering support for all of the churches activities.

The board members are always working on new events. Three changes on the Board will take place. Bettie Miller, Sonia Pichardo and Rev. Janet Hobson will be stepping down from their roles. We thank them for all the wonderful work that they have done in their two years of service. Their contribution to the Church has been outstanding. Stepping into new roles on the Board are Patricia Harper as Treasurer, Jacqueline Knapp as Co-Treasurer and Ivette Casanova as Vice-President. Randall Wilkerson is the new Co-Secretary. Pamela Thompson continues in her role as Secretary. I look forward to continuing to work with them in their new roles on the Board.

The prosperity consciousness of the Church is awesome! We continue to be blessed with healthy finances and I expect that the year will continue the trend. We have seen growth in new members, we see more visitors, there is a buzz and liveliness in our Church that lifts our spirits and gives us joy!

I would also like to thank the Women of Unity and the Men of Unity for supporting my family in last nine months. Many of you know that my wife Tanya and I are expecting a baby any day now. Thanks to God and Unity Church of Christ, we know we are truly blessed in this life changing event.

My special appreciation goes to Reverend Bessie, the Board and Vanessa Spencer for all their support through this half of the year.
