“Where’s My Spotlight?!”

In this season of Thanksgiving, I want to extend my appreciation to all who have been involved with the Youth Choir. Thank you to the faithful parents who bring their children to rehearsal each week, Lyn, Sharon, Randall, Renee, Gregory; the musicians, Sandi, Katie, Dave and even our board president, Joe, who has sat in on drums during rehearsal. But I want to especially thank our current members who have been doing an exceptional job: Juan, Javin, Sana, Victoria, Nicholas, Ashley & Jasmine. As a group, their skill level continues to grow along with their confidence. The Youth Choir rocks the 4th Sunday! We invite all youth with an interest in singing to consider joining our choir. Thank you to those who support us with donations and overall encouragement. And finally a unity shout-out to our strongest cheerleader, Rev. Bessie.

Some of you have already expressed an interest in the liturgical dance, poetry, and drama areas of the Performance Ministry. We are excited to announce that Renee Jones will lead liturgical dance. Renee has her own dance company and you will be hearing more from her in the coming weeks. Drama and Poetry are still in the planning stages and hope to kick off by January 2009.
