TEEN WORKSHOP

I.M.A.G.I.N.E. for Teens
(Incorporating My Awesome God In Everything)

The teens and myself as facilitator would like to thank you the congregation for answering your call as a village to support our teens. The workshop was a time of growth, sharing, bonding, meeting new friends and transitioning for the teens as well as the facilitators. There were twenty-five attendees and it allowed the teens of Unity Church of Christ to host other teens from the surrounding towns as well as out of state. It was a fun-filled interactive two day workshop of planting seeds that bears much fruit. As it was shared with the teens, they already are not the same as they walked in as God ministered to them in a powerful way. They showed up open and willing to hear, feel and receive that they are perfect simply as they are raising the bar on their realization of self-worth and self-love!

We were grateful to have author Valerie Love lovingly surprise the teens with a personal autographing session as well as to sit in on one of our love circles. We were also grateful to Michael Robinson, Trakstar, for his live performance of inspirational rap, autographing session of his CD made especially for the workshop as well as sharing his personal testimony with the teens.

Congregation without you answering the call of God, the beauty in which the workshop manifested itself would not have been possible. Thank you to the scholarship sponsors, the prayer warriors, those who baked, cooked and packaged snack bags, the volunteers, facilitators and the parents who encouraged and transported the teens. It takes a village to raise a child and I am honored that I live amongst you.
