Lions of Judah

A Message from the Lions of Judah

There are more and more men who are attending Unity Teaneck. We do not want to come to church, sit quietly, listen to the service and then go home—as men believe that we can contribute much more to Unity Teaneck. Within Judaism, the Biblical Judah is the original name of the Tribe of Judah, traditionally symbolized by a lion. In Christian tradition, the lion is often assumed to represent Jesus—thus, the Lions for Jesus, aka Lions of Judah.

Our goals are many. We meet on a regular basis to discuss our goals, which include ways on to improve our Church, organize fund raising, help each other, study the Bible and its metaphysical meaning, bond to provide moral support if any of us are having any issues. The most impressive action is the dedication and commitment to having this group continue to move forward. As men, most of us have other commitments, yet we find the time to meet and get to know each other better. With events like the Caribbean Barbecue and Hoops for God, just to name a few, believe it, the Lions of Judah continue to shine in 2009!
